Queue²⁰¹⁹

The archive of Q records a day of contributors, a Sensing Silence Walkshop, and a presentation with Voice of the Experienced.

Art installation and interactive experience. Visitors arrived at the Peter & Paul Church in New Orleans and queued in a waiting line outside, where they were slowly let into another interior chamber flanked by a curtain. There they waited to be allowed entrance to the sanctuary.

Once inside, they proceeded through another queue until reaching a second curtain. On the other side was a performance where a blindfolded individual held their hands open in a gesture of invitation. Visitors could walk away and exit through the queue or take the blindfolded person’s hand. The room was filled with the sound of resonant organ tones and sunlight.
